San Diego to Minneapolis to Washington D.C.
It was bittersweet opportunity for Robbie, a Delta pilot, to escort Dad’s casket on its way to Arlington.
With the honor befitting this decorated war veteran, a water canon salute was sent arching over the arriving Delta flight. Delta, along with its own Honor Guard made up of fellow Veterans, performed the Honor Transfer between flights.
The flight’s pilots stood alongside Robbie as the casket, draped with the U.S. flag, came off the plane. Flight and crew members saluted the passing of this great American patriot.
