Around 00:45 on the 9th of June in 2018, Bob quietly passed away in San Diego. Suzie, Tom, Ann and Robbie stayed wth him until he took this journey.
Phone calls from his brother Alfred and sister-in-law Lorraine cheered Bob before he left. Calls from his grandchildren and his ‘Ohana brought comfort. During this final get together, music played, baseball was on tv, stories and memories were shared. Some of these memories were from old letters Bob had sent home during his four years at West Point.
But it was time. In the loving and wise words of daughter-in-law, Amy, this soldier had done his duty and was time to move on.
Robert “Bob” Fernandez is survived by children Suzanne, Tommy and wife Patricia, Ann and husband Scott Davenport, and Robbie and wife Amy; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren (Scottie, Joey, Danny, Tommy, Markie, Maile, Katie, Scarlet, Penny, Logan).
